Radio discussion

I would really have loved to start this feature with this phrase "everyone is entittled to his/her opinion...

Now that said and done lets talk about the morning show on the local radio station "classic 105"  hosted by maina kageni and mwalimu king'ang'i....its amazing how there show has found favor in the hearts of so many matatu drivers that every morning as am going to work i have to be taken through the torture of listen to their morning show...anyway thats not the issue, there show is nice  but the only problem i have with it is there 8 o'clock discussion...

When i was in the school of journalism one mr abdalla always told me that the first aim or  objective of any discussion is education then entertainment but the breakfast show is more of entertainment than it is educative.

Let me take you through my thinking.maina has been condemned and branded by so many people as the "women representative" is it because she fights  for the rights of women!!?? Sorry i dint even realise i referred to maina as she..but moving on swiftly...it's not because of that but just by the simple fact that he thinks men are the cradle of anything not right and women are the victims of it.but is that what really happens??

Thats takes me to my journalism class where we covered  "subjectivity and objectivity"
What maina is.. is subjective but as a moderator he is meant to be objective....basing his arguements on some analysis and facts and not mere opinions and feelings..
he should bring out the discussion to the point where its a level play ground and no single party feels intimidated or  oppressed to a particular line of thinking...

But ofcourse with us kenyans...., possibly you are already throwing stones at me for coming from this school of thought...
