LA BELLE

This is the first letter to the future you and funny enough I have tried to do this for the last 3 weeks and i haven't been able to find the right words but anyway i have to do this and if you trip into this just know,I wish i did better than this.

Hello kaitlyn I dont know if I should call you a Blessing or the blessed but just note the first two syllables "BLESS" you are something that am still trying find the right words for..All the midnight cries and early morning laughters cannot be put into one sentence. You came into our lives and from the first second you became a teacher to us. You taught me how to be a father and how to treat a daughter, I literally never knew what being a father actually was, Haha i remember on your first birthday I didn't even know how to do it, I swear i would have asked you to invite your friends then take you to a club buy you a few drinks,and a cake and i think i would have made you happy, but you were just one and then you didn't even have friends to call over and then you don't drink and then you can't handle loud music and you only dance when you want and you sleep early so that was a miss but thanks to you we did something and someday you gonna see the pictures and I hope you will be proud of daddy and mommy, it wasn't much but I think we tried.

I will admit it to you that it has not been easy being a first time dad and sometimes it has taken all my energy and still demanded for some more but when i look at your face I get all the energy I need.I remember waiting for you on the hospital while mommy was doing her thing, that was the longest 1 hour of my life, all the "what ifs" and then puff you were laid down on a tray and it was time for daddy to come pick you, I held you in my arms and everything just stopped,my arms had been favored enough to hold so many great things but this was heavenly, your tiny self was in my arms helpless yet so humbling I dont think i will ever find the right words for that feeling Then came your first day, first week, month and finally you blew your first candle, from blur vision, to tracing of your mom's breast in the dark, from gums to your first teeth and then to the funny arguments you have with mom when you bite her, it has been such a blessing and a pleasure. Even though sometimes I have wished you came with a manual, I appreciate your tutorials, you have been patient with us, from how to do diapers, how to know if you okay or not,but all the same you have been a princess and I LOVE YOU.

An year older is a milestone for you and for us too,It is a birthday to you and to us because on this date parents were made, the steps that we've seen you take will forever be engraved in our minds, We love you KAITLYN and forever will. It was a memorable first birthday thanks to all our friends and family. grow up so that you can start inviting your friends coz i guess mine are growing old pretty fast.
