corruption is bred today

when i knocked into the government office to ask for service they all told me "you know how government works, you need to push this.." then they all laughed when i rolled up my sleeves and said i was naive. when the local traffic police officer stopped me because i had not buckled up my seat belt and asked me to get him tea, then he got angry when i reached into the backseat of my car and handed him the flask full of tea that my wife had packed me, i was shocked but he rather said i was very rude. i was not born in the city but back in the village where tea is tea, i was raised in the real society where people call spades, spades and not big spoons and too bad the city is not my place, they speak in tongues and no one to inter prate. when they saw a bug eating into the government corpus they called it politics but me? am old school to the core so i call it corruption.when we spent our precious time in the election we think we are getting people to lead us but to them we have given them a chance to eat. everyone thinks that they have a portion of the national cake that is baked with corruption that they all must eat. yesterday i was flipping through a week's old newspaper in my house you understand with the current economic times normal people dont buy daily papers but all the same as i was waiting for my wife to get us a meal and i was shocked that she actually had to bribe my son to do her homework. i was left with utter dismay because the kid demanded pre-payment basically the local politician came to mind, he must have been a kid like my son and brought up by a mother like my son and i realized that actually its not there problem its the upbringing, its us mothers and fathers who nurture corruption. we instill in kids virtues that are uprightly wrong then later in life stand at high-mast podiums and condemn them.we are so keen to look at the the dirty ocean than we are looking at the streams, tributaries and rivers whose water is already dirty before it flows in.the apple as we all know does not fall far from the tree atleast as far as corruption is concerned so if our people are corrupt then the country is built on the foundation of it and unless we uproot that we can never clean the ocean when the river is dirty. if only we concentrated on the foundation then we would not worry about the structure.lets not be the psychopaths who live in glass houses but are too busy throwing stones.lets all nurture the present and the future will take care of its self.
