Declare Your Wealth

today i was checking on my twitter account as i religiously do it and i came across this #TT for those who are last generation-born thats a trending topic that read #declareyourwealth and it really caught my eyes and i decided to go on afew tweets and posssibly know the source, what i saw next got me dumb-folded to say the least. Robert William Collymore had promised earlier on to declare his wealth on worlds corruption day and true to his today being that 8th day of december he let the cat out. something that really shocked me is that the head of the leading telecommunication company earns 9times the salary of the president.he has assets amounting to approximately 277million and shares amounting to 18 million.To a normal kenyan this is just way too much considering that Bob has worked for over 30 years,but to me this is not the issue the guy has a wealth of experience and also bearing in mind how much safaricom earns in a day its well worth it. my problem on this whole issue begins on that part of declaration.if he had put himself together and named his worth why cant our local BILLIONAIRES AND MILLIONAIRES whose wealth is and remains a secret and how they really got it remains a mystery why cant they put themselves up to it and honestly declare, why would you feel ashamed to stand in a podium and tell the public yes i own 277million in assets and shares and i have a monthly salary of about 9.1million just like bob did. why cant the president who owns like a quarter of the country in land and so many other millions in assets declare his wealth. why cant william ruto with all the allegations of land grabbing just stand in a podium and declare how much land he owns and whether he really owns weston hotel.talk less of waiguru who had a basic salary of afew coins above a million and was able to purchase a house worth 200million just declare how much he owns.raila odinga with all his investments in petroleum and gas why dont you just step up and lead by example, just to mention but afew. i know kenyans like to be lied to, alittle more of it wunt hurt us more than the a thousand other lies you have told us already, we really dont want the truth that some of you have stolen from the same pocket that we have assumably entrusted to your hands.we dont want to be told that you have grabbed the one over eight piece of land thats the only thing my ageing dad left for me, i dont wanna be told that you have bought a television set worth 1.7 million so that you could afford to buy a new pair of shoe, i dont really wanna be told that you stole the 100 bob that i worked so hard under the sun to earn so that i could pay tax, that is not the truth i want, that is for sure not the declaration i want.....all am asking for is to be told how much you are worth whether you got it right or you had to squeeze it off my tears, i will leave to God but what i wanna know is how well you have taken advantage of the opportunity i gave you to manage my ten shillings that the muhindi had insulted me 9times before paying me, thats all i ask kindly is it too must to ask to declare your wealth.... ..
