benchmarks

The most persistent question in life is “what are you doing for others”. That’s the benchmark of success and failure.

Most people though spend their lifetime stepping on people’s toes and establishing there command over them not knowing its only wise for you touch people’s hearts on your way up so that the same people will hold you on your way up but if you step on their toes as you climb they will definitely wait with their mouth open to see you fall with a thud.

True definition of success to me is not how many companies you own or how many people you command or how many people hear your voice and shudder it’s how many lives you have touched…how many paths you’ve created and how many wrongs you right. I forgive you if you come from the school of thought that “power is the authority you have over others “.

True power is the control you have over your own self. Most of us are driven by forces we can’t define. The force that pushes you to be better than the other, the force that drives you to limit yourself to the success of other and benchmark yourself with the view of others not knowing that in life each one of us is in a distinct lane with our own speed limit, travel duration, driving capacity and abilities if others are moving faster that shouldn’t dictate your pace and the converse reason being they have their own goals to achieve their dreams are different and their abilities as well.

If you spend your life thinking about the success of others you aint a branded   ‘failure’ but you fail a s a man.if my bible doesn’t play tricks on me that story about Jesus, some guy is given 5 talents other 2 and the other one right? Yes am not so good about the bible but I bet I got that one right then at the end the lessons are we all have different abilities in other word we are abled differently but what matters is how well we use what we have….do we use it to the best of our ability or do we as the third fool think of hiding it so that no other person reaps where they didn’t sow?

you have no bragging rights to call yourself successful if all you did is to follow an already established path…..the most successful person is one who creates his own path and makes a destination out of it.and what we most don’t recognize is you don’t really have to bill gate yourself to be successful the little struggle you’ve gone through and come out is what defines you…..maybe it will make you feel better to say “it’s never about the magnitude , life is not about how much it’s about how well” but sad enough we are raised with the mentality that its only numbers that make the difference.

My success list has very few people and to surprise you it might not feature anyone you know and I have no apologies to make reason being my definition of success is distinct it’s about hearts and other people it’s never about us and money and empires. If only you leave each day of your life touching lives you will have accomplished the most in life and you don’t really have to live a thousand years just a single day a single life is enough to make you skid in sideways in your grave and shout “holy shit” I did it

I have always though that ‘life is too short’ until some convinced me otherwise…the longest thing in this world is life…yea I know you are disagreeing with my thoughts but take a back sit and let me take you through the journey of my argument…..imagine in this world no single person can and will ever live your life longer that you? Most of us measure life with years that why we assume that Adam had the longest life since he lived 960years...but to surprise you his life was never long it was just what it was meant to be a kid who was born at noon and died at midnight though its though to have lived for 12 hours its life is equal to you that has lived 50 years reason being you both experienced life the life of that child has lasted that long just because it’s meant to and given to any other person it would still last that much and what you accomplish within that duration is the all you are meant  to. Imagine yourself what was that that you have that God has to give you 50 years to accomplish it that that kid only had a single day and yet lived its life to the fullest and accomplished all its dreams and aspiration as set out.

You having lived for 50years is just a privilege and any privilege comes with a responsibility and at the end the question will be in your single life worth 50years what did you do for others and what did you achieve you won’t be judged under the law of length that your life was short therefore more is expected from you or less just by virtue of you living what is set out for you by Allah is what you will be accountable for.

Just live each day as if it’s the last day of your life. If by chance you still live on then lucky you,  you have another day to live as if it’s the last day of your life…..imagine you don’t then God forbids that happens to be the last day what happens to you? It doesn’t hurt to do good everyday but it really hurts not to do good even a single day.
